2023 and Your Intimacy: What’s Up Ahead?

I love the start of a New Year. Despite quite a few struggles I faced in 2022, I arrive at Jan. 1, 2023, brimming with hope and optimism. The core of this? Well, I imagine it has a lot to do with Lamentations 3:22-23:

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness.”

I know as I write this and as you are now reading it, there are plenty of mornings in marriage that don’t feel anything like that.

And as a writer on speaker on all things intimate in marriage, I also know that for many of you, it is hard to find hope. Lots of long suffering, discouragement and bewilderment maybe are what you are navigating instead.

I want to challenge you, though, to surrender those hard places to the Lord and ask for deeper revelation of what He has in store for you individually this year and for your marriage.

And if you are not in hard places with your marriage? Well, I encourage you to still ask for deeper revelation of what He has in store for you individually this year and for your marriage.

My heart for 2023 is that I would be a warrior for myself and for you. That I would show up. That I would become even more committed to encouraging you and pointing you toward more profound intimate connection with your spouse.

I don’t take that calling lightly… this passion and desire of mine to speak hope and possibility.

Will you pray for me as I do just that? Will you pray that God would show up abundantly to better use me to serve you?

The Lord’s compassion don’t ever fail. As we head into 2023, let’s be about leaning into His faithfulness as never before.

Who is with me?!
